Our Founder and Executive Director

As the publisher and editor of Cuisine Noir Magazine and now the executive director of GFDI, V. Sheree Williams has been a pioneer of Black food media and amplifying stories about people of African descent in food and drink since 2009.

Her vision and influence in journalism and centering conversations and stories has amassed a global readership as well the attention from fellow media outlets, industry leaders, influencers and organizations.

In her role as executive director, she will continue to build on years of hard and consistent work, invaluable connections and innovative ideas to create an organization with an impact felt around the world.
